In 1986 Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region People's Government formed a representative group to reward the troops at the Yunnan Frontier. Lead by the Autonomous Region Government officials and representatives from station troops, the representative group went to the Laoshan frontier and rewarded the people's soldiers. At the same time, they issued memorial medals to reward the troops of Ningxia.
