LS3 | ORDER OF THE REIGN | |
Ordre du Règne (Itsariyaphon Phabohommahup) three classes – established February 2, 1923 by Royal Ordinance 10; modified February 7, 1927 by Royal Ordinance 14; modified September 30, 1948 by Royal Ordinance 288 |
||
For: | meritorious or long and faithful service for the monarchy | |
Ribbon: | 37mm; red 6mm, yellow 25mm, red 6mm for all awards, with the edge stripes varying from 4mm to 7mm depending on the manufacture; Service bars have no differences by class |
These medals were widely awarded to civil and military officers for services to the crown and also to enlisted men in the bronze class as a Long Service award. Medals of the second type were also produced in Laos, and very crudely so. It appears as if the gilt medal – the highest class – may sometimes be worn with a rosette on the suspension ribbon. This award has also been termed the Medal of the Reign, the King's Medal for Exceptional Merit, and the Order of Luang Prabang.
This medal, depending on the class, range from relativly scarce for the ones of Luang Prabang to relatively common for the others.
