  For: perpetuating the remembrance of a memorable deed
  Design: round breast badge, gold/silver/bronze, 35mm across, with suspension ribbon
    Obverse: profile of King Norodom Sihanouk, surrounded in inscription in Khmer script "Preah Vat Samdech Preah Noredol Sihanauk Varnum, King of Cambodia"; suspension a Royal crown;
    Reverse: Khmer dates surrounded by wreath
  Ribbon: 35mm; yellow 1mm, blue 4½mm, yellow 1 mm, blue 1mm, yellow 20½mm, blue 1mm, yellow 1mm, blue 4½mm, yellow 1mm

This was bestowed only by the King.

A die variety exists which has the portrait looking somewhat featureless.

It is not uncommon on the market.
