CM29	PEOPLE'S SOCIALIST COMMUNITY MEDAL
	Medaille Sangkum Reast Niyun (Meday Sangkum Reastr Niyun) established March 20, 1964
	For:	members of the People's Socialist Community Movement (Sangkum Reastr Niyun), Royal Khmer Socialist youth, participating members of the Royal Khmer Armed Forces, and Buddhist clergy of the Buddhist Movement
	Design:	round breast badge, gold, 41-45mm across, with suspension ribbon
		Obverse:	in the center, on a raised disk, the three towers of Angkor Wat in silver on a broad red stripe with thin blue above and below (as the flag), surrounded with a gold rim with the Khmer inscription above "Nation, Religion, the Royal Throne" and below "Sangkom Reastr Niyun" meaning roughly "A society of and for the people", and around that a gold wreath;
		Reverse:	plain
	Ribbon:	33mm; blue 2½mm, red 1½mm, blue 1mm, red l½mm, blue 1mm, red 18mm, blue 1mm, red 1½mm, blue 1mm, red 1½mm, blue 2½mm; either finely made French or coarse local made
	Device:	on the service bar and sometimes the suspension ribbon, a silver design of the three towered Angkor Wat

A miniature example of the award is 18mm across.

There are a number of variations, mainly in the shape of Angkor Wat in the center.

It is one of the commonest Cambodian medals seen, although most emanate from Cambodia without a ribbon.
